【摘要】:13318-3:2004describesamethodfordeterminingtheparticlesizedistributionsofhomogeneousparticulatematerialusingcentrifugalsedimentationinaliquid.SolidsconcentrationsaredeterminedbytheattenuationofanX-raybeam.Theresultingsignalenablesconversiontoaparticlesizedistribution.Themethodofdeterminingtheparticlesizedistributiondescribedinthisstandardisapplicabletopowderswhichcanbedispersedinliquidsorpowderswhicharepresentinslurryform.Thetypicalparticlesizerangeforanalysisisfrom0,1mto5m.Themethodisapplicabletopowdersinwhichallparticleshavethesameeffectivedensity,chemicalcompositionandcomparableshapes.Materialspossessingelementswithanatomicnumbergreaterthanabout12canbeexpectedtoproduceadequateX-rayopacity.Particlesshouldnotundergochemicalorphysicalchangeinthesuspensionliquid.Itisnecessarythattheparticleshaveahigherdensitythanthatoftheliquid.
