适用范围
本标准适用于电动机用起动继电器的固有安全和与设备安全有关的操作值、操作时间及操作程序。本标准适用于装有电子装置的起动继电器，以及使用热敏电阻件、热件和磁件的起动继电器。本标准不适用于一般用途的继电器以及IEC 158和IEC 947范围内的接触器和电动起动器。本标准亦不适用于机械计时器和机械操作的电动起动装置。本标准适用于那些在电气上或机械上与起动继电器相结合的手动控制器。本标准适用于额定电压直流不超过440V，交流不超过660V，额定电流不超过63A的起动继电器。本标准未考虑取决于起动继电器在设备中的安装方法的自动动作的响应值。如果响应值对保护使用者及周围环境有意义，则由相应的设备标准规定的或由制造厂规定的值适用。
